Vid Summit LA

The YouTube Mega Training was one of the biggest events to happen this year. For three days, the YouTube Masters were there to teach all kinds of information about online advertising, making money with YouTube, and YouTube conversions.

What an amazing time it was for Derral Eves to be with David Walsh, Gideon Shalwick, James Wedmore, Casey Zeman, Yifat Cohen, Dane Golden, and Rob Actis. There were so many different varieties of methods and techniques demonstrated on how to grow your online business and be more successful.

“There were so many killer strategies to learn that literally unlocked all of the mysteries of online marketing,” Eves commented. The Vid Summit LA also taught ranking strategies and everything that one needs to know about Google and YouTube along with the visiting YouTube Spaces. Every part of it was incredible and there wasn’t one person there that couldn’t wait to get home and try out everything they learned.

YouTube Spaces

We went out to YouTube spaces in October. During our trip there we planned on meeting David Walsh and Gideon Shalwick (big YouTubers who are YouTube certified in audience growth) to make a collaboration video about YouTube, and to be uploaded to YouTube.

The building is beautiful and is constantly busy with new people arriving and leaving. This is the kind of place a person can’t just walk into. The front doors are always locked with people watching and if you were not on the list to get in, then you won’t. However, once inside they treat you great! We were assigned a studio and received the cameras and other video gear we requested promptly.

The studios were all filled up with all kinds of people working on their media projects. We were lucky to meet some of them and hear their stories of what they were filming and how they ended up there. Inside the building is very nice. They have food catering going on 24/7 and even have a little café where they will make anything for you (on the house).

The cameras in house for us was a Sony C300 and a Mark 5D. Both amazing cameras. Once our guests arrived, we began the first collaboration with David Walsh, which was about ranking and re-ranking strategies on YouTube. David flew in all the way from England to be there with Derral because they have both been successful with their channels. Basically the video it helps people realize how to boost their channel with popularity and subscribers. The second collaboration with Gideon was then about Live Events on YouTube. Gideon has successfully held many live events using YouTube, which is why Derral had him fly over from Australia just to put it together with him.

The shoots took all day and was dark by the time we finished up. However, YouTube didn’t short us there….they were kind enough to throw a big after party with many guests who arrive. They may do that every night there when the work is finished.

Creatus Teams Up With The Redhead Express in Alaska

From August 27th to September 3rd, Creatus did an exclusive music video shoot with the Redhead Express for one of their upcoming music videos. And there is no better way to see the magnificent beauties of the state of Alaska and listen to four beautiful women sing country music.

The whole crew was involved in shooting scenes for the upcoming music video. Derral, Tel, and others from Creatus teamed up to produce this music video masterpiece. Everyone agreed how fun and exciting it was take part in the event, and to see how easy it is to capture such clear pictures with the drone camera, along with all the other video shot in and around different places in Alaska. There is something about the beauty of Alaska that magically transforms you, and you’re continually transfixed by the rich color and wonder that is all around.

Each shot was spectacular, and by the end of the day as Kendra, LaRae, Alisa, and Meghan were in awe of the experience. It didn’t matter if they were standing on a glacier, in a serene part of the forest, or in a meadow of flowers. Every shot was remarkable, especially the view from above as they flew in a helicopter to scout out remote locations.

To top it all off, the Redhead’s played at the Alaska State Fair. They had a great time getting back to their old stomping grounds and visiting with friends and family along with the making of the video. From conception to the end result; Creatus had quickly turned a music videos into a work of art for the Redhead Express.
